According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), having a working smoke alarm reduces the risk of dying in a home fire by more than 50%. That’s why the Santa Rita Fire District encourages all homeowners to ensure their smoke alarms are functioning properly and checked regularly.
To support this life-saving effort, we proudly offer two programs designed to help residents maintain reliable smoke alarm protection:
- Smoke Alarm Battery Program
For just $30, homeowners can have their smoke alarm batteries replaced on a regular schedule. This fee covers up to 8 batteries and ensures your alarms stay powered and ready to alert you in an emergency.
- Smoke Alarm Installation Program
Residents can purchase smoke alarms directly from the Fire District for $25 each. These alarms are professionally installed by our dedicated Fire Corps volunteers, ensuring proper placement and functionality.
